Ludo grew out of the ancient Indian game Pachisi, and it is still the game families reach for first. This version keeps the rules most people grew up with and adds a computer opponent that plays to win, so a quick round is always available.
How to play
- Roll a six to bring a token out of your yard.
- Move tokens clockwise by the number you roll, then up your coloured path to the centre.
- Land on a rival to send it back to its yard. Starred squares and start squares are safe.
- A six, a capture or getting a token home earns another roll. Three sixes in a row loses the turn.
- You need the exact number to reach home. First player with all four tokens home wins.
Controls
Tap the die or press Space to roll. Tap a glowing token, or press 1-4, to move it.
Tips
Keep a token ready near your start so a six is never wasted, and stop on stars when a rival is close behind you. Spreading tokens out usually beats running one far ahead.
