Snakes and Ladders began in India as Moksha Patam, a game of fortune where virtues lifted you and vices dragged you down. Our board has its own layout, so even long-time players will meet some surprises.
How to play
- Every player starts just off square 1 and rolls in turn.
- Land on the foot of a ladder to climb to its top.
- Land on a snake head to slide down to its tail.
- Rolling a six gives you another turn.
- You must land exactly on 100 to win. Roll too high and you stay where you are.

Tips
There is no strategy to the dice, which is the joy of it. Beat your own record for the fewest rolls to reach 100.
